What is not available yet
- Only the Reading section has a free public check. Mathematical Reasoning and Thinking Skills practice needs an account.
- Practice papers are not the real test, which is taken on computers at a set time.
How the check works and what happens after
A Skill Check is free and needs no account. Each question is marked as your child answers, and the result shows the skills that may need attention. It is an informal check, not a diagnosis or proof of mastery. When an answer is wrong, a short lesson with a worked example explains the idea, a follow-up question checks it, and a retest later shows whether it helped. Keeping progress needs a free account.
For OC-style reasoning topics, BrightHop uses the same loop: find where the reasoning went wrong, explain the strategy with an animated worked example, practise it, then retest.
